Change automatic response to read receipts

In addition to requesting a read receipt for e-mail messages you send, you can, as a recipient, choose whether to send a read receipt whenever one is requested of you.

  1. In the Navigation Pane, click Options.
  2. To send a read receipt whenever one is requested, under Privacy and Junk E-mail Prevention, select Always send a response.
  3. Note  Only one receipt is sent for each item you open. For example, if you mark an item as unread and then open it again, Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access won't send another read receipt.

  4. To deny a read receipt whenever one is requested, under Privacy and Junk E-mail Prevention, select Do not automatically send a response.
  5. Click Save and Close.
